Meet Luna Meru!

Animal Assisted Therapy

At Looking Forward Counseling, we believe healing is most profound when it’s relational, embodied, and rooted in presence. Since 2022, Luna Meru—our loving, zany and golden-hearted golden retriever—has been an intuitive companion in the healing journey of many clients. This August, we’re  welcoming her an additional day a week, with dedicated Wednesdays and Fridays for Animal-Assisted Therapy sessions.

Luna is not just a calming presence—she’s an integral part of the therapeutic experience. As a certified Emotional Support Animal (ESA), Luna supports clients navigating trauma, grief, emotional dysregulation, and the everyday stressors of being human in an overwhelming world. Her quiet companionship, grounded energy, and natural attunement have made her a beloved co-regulator in our space.
