Meditation
Meditation & Integrative Healing
At Looking Forward Counseling, meditation is more than a tool for relaxation—it’s an invitation into presence, embodiment, and healing.
As a licensed clinician and trauma-informed yoga teacher, I offer guided meditations that draw from a range of rooted practices including yogic tradition, mindfulness-based techniques, breathwork, sound healing, and poetic imagery. Each session is crafted intentionally—often blending clinically informed awareness with intuitive, heart-centered expression.
What to Expect
Meditations may include:
-
Mindfulness & Yogic Tradition: Centering practices grounded in breath, awareness, and inner stillness.
-
Empowerment-Based Visualization: Meditative journeys designed to reconnect you with inner strength, clarity, and resilience.
-
Poetry & Spontaneous Creation: Original poems or meditations—sometimes created in real-time—using themes, words, or mantras that naturally arise in your therapeutic process.
-
Sound Healing: Vibrational support through singing bowls, chimes, and tuning forks, offered to deepen somatic integration and nervous system regulation.
-
Customized Breathwork: Gentle pranayama techniques to support emotional release, clarity, and grounding.
-
Together, we co-create a space that reflects your inner voice and needs—whether you're seeking calm, insight, release, or empowerment. Each meditation is personalized and trauma-informed, supporting deeper emotional processing in a way that feels safe and nourishing.
Deepening the Work
If you feel called to explore these practices more intentionally, I offer extended 90-minute integrative sessions. These longer containers allow time to:
-
Begin with traditional talk therapy or reflection
-
Transition into breathwork, guided meditation, or sound healing
-
Integrate insights with movement, journaling, or closing intention-setting
-
This format can be particularly powerful for deep somatic healing, trauma work, inner child connection, or moments of transition in your life.
Whether you’re new to meditation or seeking to deepen your current practice, we’ll move at your pace, tuning into what feels supportive. If you'd like to incorporate meditation into our work together—or explore 90-minute sessions—reach out and let's begin this journey together.
You already have the wisdom within. Meditation helps you remember your breath, your body, your capacity to pay mindful attention to the body and find a deeper cellular reset.
