About Me

I’d love to explore about what fulfillment and empowerment looks like for you. Maybe you feel stuck second-guessing yourself—you want more confidence, more connection, but it feels out of reach. I’d be honored to walk alongside you in a safe space and talk about how to navigate the noise and to go after what you want without compromising your values. Working together we’ll discuss embodiment practices, tools for awareness, unpack mind-body patterns to create the foundations for meaningful change, joy and authenticity. I'm first generation Romanian-American and I deeply value culturally sensitive therapy that will respect all parts of you.

 My Approach to Holistic Counseling

Therapy with me will give you a safe and inclusive space that gives visibility to all parts of you. I bring integrative specialities like mindfulness, CBT, integrative health and somatic approaches- sound healing, breathwork, yoga, meditation, as well as EMDR, sex trauma and narcissistic abuse recovery, anxiety, inner child healing and shadow work.

Honor your heart, your intuition and the dreams you put away. You don’t have to walk this path alone. You deserve to be seen, supported, and to experience relief. The part of you that brought you here is resilient and hopeful, already moving toward a steadier, grounded, and deeply authentic life aligned with who you truly are and what matters to you most.

My Values as a Therapist

I love spending time with my family and friends, moments in nature in any capacity, visiting hot springs, camping, hiking, travel both near and far, reading, concerts, practicing yoga and meditation.

Values I hold near and dear to my heart include: loving kindness, integrity, truth, sustainability, respecting indigenous people, wisdom and lands, equity, racial justice, refugee justice, reverence for nature, person-centered and culturally sensitive thinking.

I am always looking for new opportunities to expand my professional development and surround myself with mentors and colleagues who offer extensive experience and perspective that provide invaluable insight to my practice. This year, I will be training as a breath-work facilitator as well as in an immersive yoga training to expand my somatic offerings.I use a person-centered, solutions-focused framework. I utilize evidence-based CBT and value-based mindfulness tools to work with others towards personal goals, fostering intentional change and creating deeper fulfillment.

I believe that there is far more that connects us than that which divides us. When we do our own work, we not only help heal ourselves, we help heal the world.  I also think having a sense of humor about it all is important! We all deserve levity and lightness, especially when dealing with the hardest parts of life.  If it sounds like I may be a good-fit for what you’re looking for in therapy, I’d love the opportunity to speak with you more.

Stay well, wonderful and weird!

Delia

Mission & Values

At Looking Forward Counseling, healing begins with kindness — a soft courage that invites us back home to ourselves. My mission is to help people rediscover resilience, peace, and meaning through an approach that honors both science and soul.

I believe therapy is a sacred space of remembrance — where we learn to listen again to the wisdom of the body, the voice of the heart, and the truth of our story. Each session is guided by compassion, cultural reverence, and an unwavering belief in your innate capacity to heal.

My work bridges modern psychology and ancient practice — integrating mindfulness, somatic awareness, and depth-oriented therapy to help you find balance in both mind and body.

Healing, to me, is not only the release of pain but the reclamation of joy, purpose, and belonging.

The heart of Looking Forward Counseling is rooted in these core values:

1. Compassion

Healing begins with kindness. I believe in meeting every person with empathy, curiosity, and care — creating a space where all parts of the self are welcome.

2. Integrity

I honor truth — in therapy, in community, and within the self. My work is guided by authenticity, accountability, and respect for boundaries and process.

3. Cultural Reverence

Healing is not one-size-fits-all. I integrate an awareness of cultural, ancestral, and systemic influences with deep respect for the wisdom and traditions that shape each person’s story.

4. Embodiment

The body is a living archive of memory and resilience. Through mindfulness, somatic awareness, and movement, I support clients in reconnecting with their innate wisdom and presence.

5. Integration

I bridge science and soul — weaving evidence-based therapy, neuroscience, and ancient practices into a holistic approach that honors the full spectrum of human experience.

6. Resilience & Renewal

Every challenge holds the seed of transformation. I believe in the human capacity to rise, to learn, and to grow forward — even from deep pain.

7. Community & Connection

Healing thrives in connection. My practice is rooted in collaboration, belonging, and a shared vision for collective well-being and emotional sustainability.

8. Equity & Inclusion

Every person deserves safety, dignity, and access to healing. I am committed to creating inclusive spaces that honor difference and center equity in both practice and presence.

9. Ancestral Wisdom

We are the bridge between past and future generations. I honor the ancestral threads of resilience that guide us toward healing what was once silenced.

10. Presence

The most powerful gift we can offer is our full attention. Through presence, awareness, and breath, we rediscover wholeness.
